I believe my experience working in Public Works, gives me a unique perspective when it comes to City Government and would be an asset when I'm elected to Stafford City Council. Also, as I currently serve on the City of Stafford Planning & Zoning Commission Board, that has given me hands on experience with working inside of Stafford City Hall.
City of Stafford can be instrumental in contributing to the growth and development of Fort Bend County, with it's untapped potential it has with the development of The Grid. As Stafford grows into a point of destination, so will Fort Bend County. Once elected, I would like to work to combine the assets of The Fountains, The Grid, and The Stafford Center, to make Stafford the top destination of Fort Bend County. I would also be supportive of redevelopment of the 1092/Island corridor to bring in businesses that contribute to the growth of Stafford. With the shopping, dining, and entertainment options, the City of Stafford is prime to attract people to Fort Bend County.
The top issues facing Stafford, is how to navigate the economic impact of the Covid-19 crisis. And also coping with the passing of Mayor Scarcella. Stafford has never shied away from a challenge. I will continue to work with our local businesses to help them bring more business to Stafford. I believe redevelopment will be beneficial in the long run of the prosperity of Stafford. Once we are able to reopen at 100 percent, the Stafford economy will be stronger than ever. We have to utilize the Stafford Centre and bring in entertainment, that provides Stafford with the economic boost that all our businesses can benefit from. Combined with the emergence of The Grid and The Fountains, Stafford has the potential to be the gold standard of Fort Bend County.
The City of Stafford is wonderful place to live, play and work. I'm a foodie so finding delicious spots in Stafford isn't hard, the hard part is picking which one. From Best Burger, Legends Grill, The Pub, The Stafford Ice House, Taquitoes, Raizes, Viet-wich, there are endless choices to get a great local meal. There's many parks in Stafford that I like to enjoy outdoor time with my family and our dogs.
