Vigo County Assessor
In Vigo County, the County Assessor is responsible for maintaining the records of the eleven townships that do not have a central office. Those townships are: Fayette Township; Honey Creek Township; Linton Township; Lost Creek Township; Nevins Township; Otter Creek Township; Pierson Township; Prairie Creek Township; Prairieton Township; Riley Township; and Sugar Creek Township. The County Assessor does NOT maintain the records for Harrison Township which has an office located in the annex building.The County Assessor is also a member of and serves as the Secretary of the Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals ( PTABOA ). All appeals for review of assessment for all properties within Vigo County are filed in this Office.Salary: $53,154.96Term Length: 4 years
