One of the biggest issues facing Warren County in general, and the sheriffs office in particular, is staying up to date with technology. There is no evalution of value, total cost of ownership, or return on investment. Spending money for anything is considered evil, if it’s not absolutely necessary, even if something is more cost effective for the future. This is a reactive response when proactive consideration is needed.
The office of Sheriff is more administrative than anything else. My qualifications include 22 years in Information Technology, 15 years in public safety and security, 9 years as Mayor of Washington Borough and another 10 years as a Councilperson for Washington. I currently serve as the Secretary to the Board of Directors of a 501c3 Ghana4E. I have been on the Board of Directors for the Washington Business Improvement District and was instrumental in its formation. I served as Treasurer and President of a technology professionals organization.

I have the best diplomatic skills, the best technology skills, the best financial skills. This is why Scott McDonald is your best option for Sheriff.
The Sheriffs office needs to reach out to the community more. Community outreach is more than collecting unused medicines at festivals and helping seniors avoid scams. We need to provide non sports related activities to those who are at risk of suicide, those who may be making poor choices, those who are bullying victims. We need to help train police departments in recognizing and handling mental health emergencies. When these issues come about, we need to be able to find the appropriate help for these individuals

We must encourage people to testify against violent criminals without fear of deportation, arrest, or retribution. After they testify, we should provide assistance in getting their issue corrected.
