Since coming to office, building blight and building maintenance codes has been my focus of the old downtown business district. Historical borough progress has been made by council, committees, and partnership with the Bucks County Planning Commission. Initial data has provided insight to the true impact building blight has on the borough. I pledge implementing and piloting building blight reduction strategies. This program is vital in the borough’s tax base, environment, and safety of the community.
I believe if we work together, no matter our political faction or party, we can make a difference and make the Borough of Penndel a place where people want to live, work, and visit. Since I took office this belief has been executed by the borough council and committees who are working to make progress in Penndel. Their enthusiasm and careful consideration to issues facing the borough are inspiring. We are located in a unique area that includes the train station, bus routes and the downtown Route 1 business corridor. Due to that we have some exciting opportunities in economic redevelopment. I will evaluate and expedite projects currently in the pipeline and aggressively promote the Borough of Penndel to potential investors and developers. I pledge to bring economic vitality to a long-underdeveloped downtown, as well as incorporate green stormwater infrastructure, and provide job opportunities in the borough. Building Penndel Borough for the future to provide the best for the taxpayer.

Revitalization of the downtown area is extremely important, and the Borough has been cooperating with the Bucks County Planning Commission to initiate this process. With this information, Penndel Borough will begin to market the advantages the Borough has to offer for future development.. Also important is the maintenance of the police department in order to enhance the safety and welfare of the borough residents in a busy transportation hub in Lower Bucks County.
I am running for office in order to continue the progress that has been made in implementing revitalization, repairing of infrastructure, and the procurement of grant funding to finance the improvements needed in the Borough. Also very important to me and the Penndel Borough Council is the maintenance of fair and balanced taxes. I have lived in Penndel Borough since 1963 and my children and grandchildren live here. I want Penndel to be the best it can possibly be and I enjoy serving the residents in this capacity.
I have been on council for almost 19 years. In that time I have extensive experience and success in procuring over $2,000,000 in grant funding for borough projects. I have also served on the Finance Committee, Community Development, Personnel and Administration, Public Safety, and Borough Hall Maintenance.. With my experience I hope to continue service to my community.

The most important issue to me is the revitalization of the Route 1 corridor. Penndel Borough has so many fantastic attributes such as our proximity to major highways, a SEPTA train station, and our strong community spirit. I truly believe that by updating the Borough’s ordinances we can attract the kind of development that everyone wants to see. However, I see this as a two part process. I feel that vital to our redevelopment success is the hiring of a borough manager. This would ensure that major projects are successfully completed despite any changes in Council members.
I’m running because I want to help be the change that our Borough needs to succeed. I bought a home in Penndel because it is close to major highways and has a train station, but it also has the feel of a small town. I believe Penndel’s best attribute is its walkability. As a member of the Revitalization Task Force, I’ve seen the data presented by the Bucks County Planning Commission and I’ve reviewed the proposed ordinances that have been presented to Council. I want to see these efforts carried out and help ensure the long term viability of our Borough.
I’m a 10 year resident of Penndel. I’ve started a family here along with my wife Alison. I’ve always been a strong believer in civic duty. Soon after moving to the Borough, I began volunteering my time to assist on the Long Range Finance Committee, then the Planning Commission and also the Revitalization Task Force. I’m knowledgeable of the budget process, municipal planning and the current revitalization efforts. In working for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, I have years of experience in reviewing land use development projects, interpreting complex regulations, and collaborating with various agencies and departments to see complex projects to completion.
