In order for the City of Grand Blanc to continue to be a Community of Excellence, deteriorating roads needs to be fixed, which is impossible with the current funding model - we will never catch up. I will continue to support funding for road restoration and am in favor of an additional millage to fix the city roads. The potential dissolution of the GB Parks & Rec needs to be averted. I will support efforts to retain our current model by voting accordingly. Development of unsightly properties is another pressing issue. I will support projects that encourage development in accordance with the Master Plan.
I would continue to study the facts, seek wise counsel, investigate to find out what other communities are doing or have done, and speak with constituents to keep up with the current pulse of the city. I would continue to scrutinize each line item of the financial documents each month.
I would like to see the local community become more active in city governance. Although the creation of the City Fire Department was a sometimes difficult task, it generated more participation in city governance than other issue in the past 4 years. I will encourage constituents to contact me with concerns. I will encourage attendance at meetings. All meetings are now publicly posted, as well as minutes from all meetings. Financial information is also posted, so anyone who is interested has the ability to be informed. I will continue to support this transparency.
I have been part of a council that has helped transform Grand Blanc from a bedroom community when I was first elected 4 years ago to a true community today. I have rolled up my sleeves to help with events like the Food Truck Festivals and the Festival of Lights. I am analytical by nature and by education. I am not afraid to speak up and present my ideas. I have made tough decisions when necessary, like supporting the creation of the Grand Blanc City Fire Department, to ensure that the city remains a safe and enjoyable place to live, work, and raise a family
Education Bachelors of Business Administration: Major in Accounting
Experience I work for another municipality and understand how important the role of an elected official is. To date, I have not held an elected position.
Campaign Message I am a concerned citizen, I am not a politician, nor do I have an agenda. I simply want what is best for our community.

I believe it is always important to educate yourself about the decision, evaluate if there are other options, and always count the entire cost.
I believe that transparency is very important. I would encourage the posting of meeting agendas, with supporting documentation posted on the website in a more timely fashion. In addition, I would like to see all “motion” items indicated on agendas. It should be very clear what the Council is covering during any of the scheduled meetings; this will allow citizens to be informed and get involved if wanted or needed.
