Economic development and smart growth to increase ratables and keep taxes stable is most important. I have been the Vice Chair of the the Franklin Township Redevelopment Agency and a member of the Hamilton Street Business District Advisory Board for many years. Responsible economic development is amongst one of my most important goals.
We have changed the Zoning in the Hamilton St Business District (SID) to attract new businesses and to allow the development of affordable and senior housing .
My focus in the past fifteen years on the Franklin Township Council has always been for our Youth. In that capacity I have been the Founder and Leader of the Franklin Youth Initiative (FYI) to prevent gang violence and FYI created and provides a Teen Drop In Center , and the Teen Recreation program at the Middle School, to name a few programs that I have partnered with the School system. I am currently spearheading the building of our new Youth Center at 429 Lewis St in Somerset. I believe government is responsible for providing a safe engaging place to go after school and weekends which is paramount to keeping our children safe.
