Qualifications for office I have managed two Insurance agencies one of which is our family business. I have also run a financial services firm. As well as operating in this field for 20 years I have taken taken time away to teach preschool at Sr Thea Bowman Catholic Academy and two other childcare facilities. But most importantly I am the mother of 5 children, two of which have special needs. I understand the cares and concerns of the parents in the community as well as the financial concerns of the citizens in the district.
District Northgate
To work towards a goal of an equitable education experience for all students in Northgate School District. To provide a voice for all undeserved citizens and students in the community. To work towards a fair and manageable budget that will allow out district to thrive.
All policy should be used to promote social and racial justice. It would be unfair to pigeonhole something so important in to a few specific policies. Every student and citizen should always be considered when discussing or implementing new and old policy.
Early education is the foundation of a positive and productive education. We must look for ways to support and fund early education. Also when considering funding we must recognize the impact in the long term. Quality early education can help reduce the needs of students once they reach elementary school, thus having a positive impact financially in the long term. I believe Early Education is an investment we cannot afford to ignore.
