Fiscal responsibility of local government, slowing the over-development throughout the township & supporting local business owners. Over the past few years we have seen both taxes & government spending on the rise. Our current board continues to spend frivolously on lawsuits that could have been avoided. They also support reducing open space in the name of tax revenue.

Shopping centers have steadily increased their rents, driving out local businesses in favor of corporately owned franchises. We allow the current board to sell us on the notion that smaller parking spots equals more parking spots. Storefront loyalty has shifted from neighbors to logos.

The solution is simple: take a stand! Use common sense when approving future projects. Utilize the current zoning layouts to enhance other businesses, not to lower property values.
As a 25-year resident of Newtown, I want to preserve the values that have shaped Newtown into one of the best places to live, work & shop in Bucks County. As our community continues to grow, we need to support our local business owners, use common sense when approving development, whether it’s commercial or residential, and get back to maintaining fiscal responsibility.

12 years ago, I began my public service career in Newtown Grant on the HOA board for more than 6 years. I have also donated my free time to youth sports, coaching Baseball for CRNAA in Newtown, coaching Wrestling for CRWA, a K-8 youth wrestling program for the entire CR community & finally coaching youth Football for the Northampton Indians. I have also served on both boards for CRWA and Northampton. I currently serve as the Marketing co-chair for my church, Bethel Philadelphia Mills.

I was fortunate enough to be raised in Newtown. I want to help keep it a great place to raise kids for the future.
Aside from my volunteer activities, I have spent the past 18 years in the private sector in Sales, Management, Operations & HR. I have worked for both large organizations and start-ups. I know what it takes to get the job done. I can handle contract negotiations.

I am invested in this community not just for my family’s sake but for the benefit of all of my neighbors in Newtown.

Economic Development - In years ahead Newtown Township (NT) will be challenged to maintain services while strengthening our financial position. As the liaison to the Financial Planning Committee I was a leader for building consensus to obtain a Pennsylvania Community and Economic Development matching grant. This grant will allow NT to initiate a proactive multi-year budgeting strategy. I would also seek professional connections with county officials and local organizations to promote the township as the right fit for office and “high-tech” jobs. Maintaining excellent service - I would advocate to continue our aggressive road improvement program, active Recreation Department, well-trained public safety forces and responsive management while also promoting continuous quality improvement. Respecting differences of opinion - I’ll always listen to suggestions from community members.
I am running to serve. My electoral journey began as a volunteer for the John Kerry campaign and I have been involved in politics ever since. All the years of helping others achieve elective office have brought me to this point. Twelve years of serving on the Planning Commission and the Environmental Advisory Council have prepared me for this time. I believe I have a unique sense of the Newtown community and a large network of relationships built on the trust of many years of civic service and non-profit leadership.
Life experience. I am the product of over 42 years providing behavior health services in Philadelphia. As such, I have developed excellent listening skills, an open mindedness and a willingness to incorporate alternative points of view to build consensus. In Newtown, I have spent 12 years serving the township on both the Planning Commission and the Environmental Advisory Council. In 2017 I was elected Auditor. I have a sense of service from experience in faith organizations. For years I have been leading missions in Appalachia and in Africa. I have been asked to assume leadership of local, regional, national and international non-profits. As a current Newtown Township Supervisor I have learned to embrace the requirements of the position. I will focus on keeping Newtown a great place to live, work and worship.

Quality of life is an important issue for Newtown Township's residents. I will work to keep Newtown Township's rural-suburban atmosphere by approving smart, sensible development that is part of a new comprehensive plan to benefit all citizens. I was instrumental in bringing an anti-fracking resolution up for a vote by Supervisors and in getting Newtown to provide a 24/7 drug drop-off box to help prevent opioid abuse. I introduced the Anti-Discrimination Ordinance that established the Newtown Township Human Relations Commission. As a member of the Newtown Board of Supervisors, I voted to create the Newtown Finance Committee, which is in the process of helping Newtown Township attract employers/jobs and pursue economic development. I have striven to better inform the residents of Newtown of these and other issues and if re-elected I will make it a priority to do all I can to encourage the township to use technology to further improve official township communications.
After serving on the Board for nearly two years and personally interacting with hundreds of residents, I have learned a great deal about the issues of importance to Newtown Township. Equally important is that I learned how to work with my fellow Supervisors and township officials to make the right decisions that aim to benefit all residents. This experience is invaluable and will prepare me to be an even better and more productive Supervisor if given a chance to serve a new 6-year term. So, I am running for a new term as Supervisor to finish what I started, which is to help make Newtown Township a better place to live, work and play.
I have been a member of my homeowners association executive board since 2014. During that time I have been instrumental in improving communications with homeowners by creating a state-of-the-art website and publishing an email newsletter. I pushed for and organized the construction of new playgrounds and organized residents to negotiate a community wide trash program that saved residents money and cut down on the number of trucks in our development. This speaks to my skill in working with residents to effect change and improve our community. I am well organized and articulate and am not afraid to think outside of the box. I can be a tough bulldog when needed, but I will always endeavor to be a good listener.
