It is always the money. Milford Township has always budgeted conservatively and spent wisely. Taxes have not been increased in the last 30 years. We will continue to do our necessary projects in house with our fantastic staff and their expertise and ability. Milford has a terrific program for purchasing open space and we have been able to add some key properties while we have been in a slower real estate market. We now own about 1400 acres of preserved open space, and continue to add new properties. Some of the open space acquired has been properties along the Unami Creek with failing septic systems which have been eliminated. Parks and trails are always managed carefully, and upgraded. Roads and bridges are well maintained and are kept clear of snow and ice during the winter
I feel that my continued service will benefit the Township. I have seen a lot and experienced a lot of development and growth over the years and I feel I am qualified to help lead Milford into the future. We have some key people who will be retiring soon, and I would like to be on the Board during the process of transition.
During my service to the township, I feel that I have seen just about every situation that could happen. I have helped guide Milford through all kinds of problems successfully. I have a lifetime of small business experience, being self employed, and running multiple successful enterprises such as an auto body and repair service, a towing company and a consulting company engaged in endangered species work. I enjoy negotiation and working out solutions to problems without resorting to legal entanglements, and the associated costs.
