At the moment, without question, the #1 issue in ERT is the possible re-opening of the quarry & construction of an asphalt plant. As you know, the quarry has been shuttered for close to 40 years. The area surrounding the quarry has grown into a nature preserve, which has made the area a very desirable place to live.
Living near the quarry which has been a focal point of our community for 1 1/2 years, I realized that our BOS needs to be more inclusive, & much more effort needs to be taken to involve all residents in issues the Township is facing. That has not been the case, & people are hurting. I will work hard to ensure all voices are heard & I will warmly offer the public a seat at the table on all issues that come before the BOS.
I believe in forward thinking. My vision of ERT is that it is a great place to live. Therefore, my priorities will be to protect the environment and the rural character of East Rockhill Township. I believe we need to look at all possible alternatives for extraction zoning. Working w/neighboring jurisdictions to fulfill that need should be a top priority of the ERT BOS & I will make sure that that happens.
Failed local leadership is the biggest issue facing East Rockhill. Our seated Supervisors, who have held their seats for far too long. They are out-of-touch with the needs of our community. They have failed to do what’s right to maintain and enhance the quality of life here in East Rockhill.
I have over 20 years of experience in utilizing my interpersonal skills. I have worked with people to identify their needs and then I have worked with them to achieve their goals. I know how to approach issues with urgency and understand how to work hard to achieve results. I don’t shy away from questioning things and ask why, when things don’t seem right. I bring out-of-the-box and forward-thinking ways to the table. I have lived in East Rockhill Township for 17 years and I understand why East Rockhill is special. I am willing to listen to, communicate, and work with residents.

I strongly believe we need to work hard to protect the residents and land-owners in the Rock Hill Quarry neighborhood by maintaining pressure to enforce our township ordinance. Expert legal counsel has been engaged to enforce township ordinances and state laws and regulations surrounding the Quarry owners and operators, fully supported by a bi-partisan coalition of our Federal, State, and Township elected officials to ensure that every possible lever is being applied to protect our neighbors impacted by the Quarry.
As a life-long resident of East Rockhill Township I remain committed to being involved in this special community and enjoy helping residents on any issue. During my years as your Public Servant, I have brought my accumulated business and management experience to benefit township operations and our employees. We have managed to serve your needs, from responsive road maintenance and collaborative zoning to efficient municipal government.
It has been my great honor to have served the residents for 36 years as East Rockhill Township Supervisor. As your Township Supervisor, I have worked diligently to listen to every resident and hear your perspective and concerns about East Rockhill Township, and how our Township Board can be responsive to your needs. As a Supervisor, I always thought carefully about every action and township ordinance to ensure that my vote reflected your voices and was cast in the absolute best interests of all Township residents. Another priority has always been that your tax dollars are used prudently and appropriately and that tax rates were held to the absolute minimum.
