I have my degree in elementary and special education. I volunteer at the school 2-3 days a week, coach sports within the community, and play an active role at my sons elementary school.
Elementary and Special education degree from East Stroudsburg University
The lack of concern for our students at the elementary level is one major issue I saw prior to my son starting kindergarten. I would also like to see term limits placed on board members, so there is fresh perspective and people who have a vested interest in our school system on the board. Security within our schools is an important topic that needs to be focused on within our district and we must place a greater importance on the safety of our students.
I spend a lot of time in the school on a weekly basis. I see the needs of the school, teachers, and students on a regularly.I created awareness, within the community, about the possibility of high class numbers for this years incoming kindergarten class. I organized the parents and asked them to speak out for their children to have another kindergarten class created for the 2019 school year. It was a proud achievement.
School Board Director in my first term. School Board Treasurer

Palisades, like many districts in the state, is dealing with decreased state and federal funding, while at the same time dealing with increased unfunded mandates from the state. The challenge is; how do we as a community provide a superior education for our children, while working within a fiscally responsible budget? I am running for my second term as a School Board Director because I continue to believe we can do both. I would ensure all policies and actions support the goal of a well-rounded education for our children, without overburdening our tax paying residents.
I have had several professions and positions in my life that I believe serve me well in the performance of my duties as a School Board Director. I am a current board member in my first term. I am on the fiscal committee, the athletic committee, as well as being the School Board Treasurer. Over the last 3 1/2 years I have gained invaluable experience in good school governance. I am currently the owner of Colonial Woods Family Camping Resort and HOOAH LLC. As a business owner, I have experience in managing budgets, leading staff, setting policies and priorities, and managing capital allocation. Prior to being a businesses owner, I was a Federal Law Enforcement Officer with the U.S Customs Service. I was a distinguished graduate from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. And before my time in law enforcement, I served my country as an infantry soldier with the 101st Airborne Division. I also volunteer my time coaching youth sports and serving on the Nockamixon Planning Commission.

Our Palisades community is small but mighty! We have a history of focusing on the quality of our children's education while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Our challenge in the future will be to provide the best possible outcomes for all our students - preparation for the workforce, access to great jobs, and eligibility for the best post-secondary education - in a financially-sustainable way. I believe that we can achieve these goals through board collaboration with our district leadership, serving as champions for the great work that the district is doing, and pressing us forward in pursuing evidence-based approaches that produce the best outcomes for the youth we are educating.
I am very proud of the progress that the Palisades School District has made over the past several years. The implementation of full-day kindergarten was a major step forward for us. We have continually focused our efforts on improving the quality of our children's education, and providing an excellent array of sports, music, arts and other extracurricular activities to ensure that our students are well-rounded and prepared for their next step in life. I am also proud of the work that our Tech school has done to prepare our students for fulfilling and well-paid careers in their fields of interest. Having served as Vice President of the Board, and a member of the Education Programs and Services Committee, I am looking forward to helping our district continue to improve our educational outcomes in a financially-sustainable manner
