The Office of Stroud Township Supervisor for this election is a position on a board of 3 supervisors. Three supervisors for the township provides a greater range of ideologies and opinions on any subject being reviewed by the board. This process ultimately serves to represent the diverse demographics of the township in the fairest and best way. Often, decisions made by the board are the result of studies, hearings, and an exchange of ideas whereby the board reaches a compromise position that will result in a unanimous vote on the matter at hand. This in when the board functions at it's best and has the strongest "voice" in the community, and is most recognized by other political office holders such as the county commissioners and our state representatives and senators. However, for this system to work effectively, each supervisor must be able to act independently of the others, without owing any allegiance to one or the other for a paid employee position. I will be independent !
