I believe I am qualified for Common Council At-Large due to my length of residency right here in Michigan City. 32 years and counting. Going further back with my father William Greene Jr. and even further with William Greene Sr. listening to their experience and times in the community over the years taking with what they have learned and what I have acquired myself. Let's not forget about my employment with the nearly two decades of retail experience at local businesses like Standard Amoco Oil and Al's Supermarkets where over the years I have met so many of you. So I believe my biggest qualification is really my tremendous relationship and communication already with "you" the great people of Michigan City!
* Neighborhood Safety & Cleanliness * Code Enforcement * Engage with our youth
I hope to accomplish many goals while on the council. I plan to set a few goals at a time, working on those goals, accomplishing them one by one and setting new ones is a must! Are your neighbors violating city ordinances, is your neighborhood clean&safe, dope running wild in the streets and alleyways? We as residents of Michigan City must continue to report the crimes being committed so we can violate the evildoers and beautify our many neighborhoods. With clean and safe neighborhoods bring happy residents, with happy residents bring more drive and motivation for the people of Michigan City to accomplish their own personal goals and tasks. Another major goal of mine is working on a youth inspired community clean-up program where at the current time, I'm putting together.
What differentiates me from the other candidates is that most of them served or were involved some way. This is my first time seeking to be elected by the people of Michigan City, Indiana. I believe with my arrival on the council, I will bring new refreshing ideas and a new wave of supporters & voters, getting them involved in our community. Actually I've already been preparing a few of our local residents for boards and commissions.
