For me, the most important infrastructure issues would be maintaining the current roads, the county properties, and the county budget. I would also like to find ways to conduct government business more effectively and to eliminate waste, so our tax dollars are spent wisely.
Growing up in Gillespie County and being in the real estate business, I realize the value we have in our water quality. We must maintain our wells and water supply and conduct ourselves as water conservationists to ensure good quality water for us and our future generations.
One major issue we are faced with in Gillespie County is affordable housing for our work force. We need to work with local city and county officials to attract quality affordable housing for the members in our county.
Gillespie County has experienced a huge influx of growth over the past 20 years. We can insure orderly growth by keeping up with increasing demands for adequate infrastructure while maintaining our heritage and culture.
I will gather information by speaking to individuals, attending group meetings, and researching history from past decisions. I will then make an informative decision that will be in the best interest of the entire county.
In order to make the county run most efficiently, it is important to maintain a quality staff. I will implement professional and decisive employment policies to help insure that we can attract and retain quality employees to serve the citizens of the county effectively.

By maintaining the existing infrastructure of county roads and right of ways for current traffic and emergency responders, EMS, etc. From my experiences with Real County, A&M Extension and as a On Site Septic Facilities Inspector, I would look at funding grants for a septic system for the community ///
Water is one of our most important resources. I will do whatever it takes to maintain and improve local water quality and supply. With previous Extension experience I have been involved in water testing programs, I have also been involved with the TCEQ, and OSSF programs and would make sure ///
The current lack of Ems volunteer responders to meet the community needs by working with local EMS and Fire Departments as well as bringing awareness to the program.
By maintaining county roads and right of ways, so that we have ease of travel for constituents and emergency responders.
I will listen to their needs and accommodate them in the best possible manner, in person, phone or by email.
I will work closely with the other commissioners and constituents to follow current Gillespie County guidelines to insure the best qualified candidates are chosen.
