Why are you running for this office? What are your top priorities?

Relevant Experience Trial attorney, Educator, Member/Chair Advisory Committee 2011-14; Board of Selectmen 2015 -
I am running for reelection to the Board of Selectmen because I am committed to the welfare of the Town and its residents. I have begun work on projects that I would like to continue, such as the Unified Plan, the renovations to Town Hall, and the North 40. The Housing Production Plan and the plans for the elementary schools are also underway. My priorities for the next few years include continued refinement of our annual budget planning process, protection of the Town’s assets and infrastructure, and completion of the projects above. Development of debt, capital spending, and investment policies will strengthen the Town’s ability to sequence expenditures in a fiscally-prudent manner, safeguard the provision of excellence in public services, and ensure the Town’s financial security.
Relevant Experience Selectman. 20 year TM member. Former Advisory & CPC officer. 8 yrs. on school facilities committees
Reach out to groups and citizens across all sides of issues facing the Town. Build understanding even where consensus out of reach. Assertively protect the Town’s interests against 40B projects. Implement immediate initiatives to increase housing diversity (affordability, seniors, Town employees, young families) and a Housing Production Plan to provide long term protection and increased diversity. Two new / renovated elementary schools. Retain the third site for construction of a seventh school when elementary enrollment rebounds. Fix deficient systems at Wellesley Middle School. Immediate repairs to Town Hall exterior and long term interior remodeling program. Rigorous, transparent analysis, and deliberation across Town of prioritized five-year operating budget and capital plans.
