Background 26 year law enforcement career, Captain Georgetown PD, FBI National Academy graduate, Leadership Command College graduate at SHSU
Education Bachelors of Arts and Applied Sciences with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from Midwestern State University - graduated Magna Cum Laude
As a member of the Executive Command Staff of the Georgetown Police Department, I help to both prepare and manage our over $15,000,000 annual police budget. I also command half of the entire Georgetown Police Department, which is 58 employees under my chain of command. I also have experience in strategic planning and policy development. As a Captain, I also have major incident and project management experience.
As Williamson County continues to grow and Pct 3 continues to be one of the busiest courts, the addition of an Associate Judge will most likely need to be considered at some point in order to better serve the citizens.
I assisted in the creation and implementation of the Georgetown Police Department's Volunteers in Police Services Program in 2005. We have grown to over 200 volunteers, which saves us tens of thousands of dollars each year, not to mention many man hours. I will explore some semblance of a volunteer program for the Justice of the Peace Pct 3 office in order to increase customer service while not impacting the county financially.
