Education Masters of Education in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton; Bachelor of Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Education of Persons with a Hearing Loss
Qualifications I started my teaching career 18 years ago. I currently am an itinerant teacher working with students from Kindergarten to High School. I work closely with administration, special education supervisors and parents advocating for the needs of my hearing impaired students. I completed a Masters of Education program with Principal Certification. During the program I evaluated teachers, help draft budget documents and planned professional development for teachers and non-instructional staff.

1. I want to protect the rights of our special education students in the district. I have always been an advocate for the needs of exceptional learners, and a one-size fits all approach to special education is concerning to me. 2. Class size guidelines haven't been addressed since the advent of full inclusion in the district. The guidelines don't reflect best practices supported by research. 3. I want the board to be more accountable to all of its stakeholders, students, parents, taxpayers, teachers, non-instructional staff and make decisions based on their input and observations.

Education The Pennsylvania State University, BA, History Villanova University, Masters in Public Administration - Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, passed comprehensive exam “with distinction” - Villanova University MPA Advisory Board Member (2010–2017)
Qualifications While serving as president of a community association navigating the contentious development of the Route 202 Parkway, and as the executive director of a national organization facilitating significant bipartisan federal legislation, I learned that, to build consensus, common sense is not political. After years of trying to engage a reactive school board, I realized that partisan political decisions needed to end. I will bring communication, transparency and data-informed decision making to NPSD.

1) Our school board will learn about the safety climate in our schools in order to actually address issues. We are the only county district not conducting climate surveys. Ignorance is not an excuse, morally or legally. 2) Unlike now, all contracts will be vetted through a competitive bid process to ensure the best value for taxpayers. Contributions from vendors to candidates will be banned. 3) Community input will be embraced and proactive use of data will inform the decision making process.

Qualifications I was a very active volunteer in district, including being president of the booster club at the high school for seven years. I gained hands on experience working with students, teachers, and administrators. I believe that the role of School Board official requires a person that has spent their time generating the relationships critical to overseeing the business of the district

Our number one goal as a slate, is to increase communication between the board and its constituents. Second, we will be independent and fiscally responsible, transparent with our decisions and we will plan long-term and strategically to get the best value for every dollar spent rather than making short-term, reactionary decisions. Third, we will promote inclusion among all groups within the district and we will expect the voters of NPSD to hold us accountable for the decisions we make.
