I’ve been a township resident for over 20 years, and raised my 3 children here.
For even longer, I've been a patent attorney, a job in which I must keep clients informed about options and progress in highly complicated, techno-legal affairs (getting/using patents), and follow their informed instructions.
These same skills, I think, are what we need in School Board members - we must inform residents of the complex issues and decisions we face and implement their informed instructions.
Cheltenham School District
1. I want to make our School Board more interactive with and responsive to the residents of our township. ("Most needed" priority.)
2. I want to ensure that ALL of our students have fair opportunities to excel and to become the best students and the best individuals they are capable of becoming. ("Most important" priority.)
3. Cheltenham's school tax rate being the highest in all of Montgomery County, I will watch spending like a hawk and ensure that our tax dollars are spent effectively.

Quality education, communication, and fiscal responsibility. I want to ensure that the administration is effectively communicating with students, parents, teachers, and residents of the township. A culture of communication will keep everyone accountable and responsive as we work to execute our strategic plan, end the racial achievement gap, maintain our facilities, improve the quality of our curriculum, and ensure that our students are having the amazing Cheltenham experience that they deserve.
