Taking steps toward state-wide universal healthcare Raising minimum wage Increasing public school funding
I advocate for stronger urban communities from a people-first approach. Rather than focusing solely on incentivizing businesses, I push for empowering and expanding the already thriving community groups spread throughout this district. I have lived on the East Side of Kansas City for over 25 years and have displayed leadership in building stronger communities through grass-roots initiatives. I advocate that long-term, sustainable improvement comes through focusing on health & education.

As an attorney I have experience applying the laws and will use that experience to write laws that are easily read and followed. I have worked in my community to increase the lives of those in the 23rd District by helping to pass the 1/8 cents sales tax, educating about MCC programs and funding, and as an attorney representing underserved individuals. I have lived in the 23rd District all of my life and have chose to remain here to be a voice for bettering my community.
