Tell us about your experience with this school district.

What are the resources our students most need to succeed and how will you ensure those resources are provided at the times they are needed?

How do you propose to balance the following factors: past commitments to teachers, retention of excellent teachers, quality of education provided to the students, and the desire of most taxpayers for lower taxes.

What personal and professional skills do you possess that will make you an effective member of the school board?

At risk counselors at every level and expansion of current programs We have a great program in place currently but needs the addition of more Hispanic speaking counselors at every level and in every school. The current supervisors are overloaded.

Loss of Tenured teachers and supervisors Mostly due to retirement. Identifying these leaders and training replacements working directly with these leaders one on one.

Programs encompassing all students not just the gifted and at risk. All Day Kindergarten was a huge plus Exposure and Teaching life and professional skills through programs or clubs More Hispanic teachers and supervisors that mirror the diversity of the students in the district.
4 years as an active board member.
Quality teachers and programs at every level. having Enough or sufficient Counselors on hand that can impact a students direction more than the mandated once or twice a year meetings. Separate counselors for college admissions requirements vs. making sure students are progressing
Quality hires Continued training and development of teachers and supervisors Replace ineffective teachers and supervisors through accountability and having the backing of the unions. Stay within our budget and means. Re-view the current curriculum and be open to new ideas and programs that our supervisors present.
