I purchased my first home in Fraser after discovering the quality public schools, public safety, parks, and city services. I live here with my fiancée, Alyssa, and our two huskies, Pasghettio and Meatball. I decided to run for Fraser City Council after the budget dispute earlier this year. I was greatly concerned about eliminating the very city services that persuaded me to move here. Quality city services are vital to attracting new families and protecting property values. I also was distressed by the conduct of some of our leaders. Residents should be able to be proud of the leaders on their City Council. I passionately believe that Fraser deserves respectful leaders who can and will work together to make our city government more efficient and effective. I am a research attorney for the Macomb County Circuit Court, and I have been a lawyer since 2010. I am confident that the professional and critical-thinking skills I’ve developed will enable me to be an effective councilman.
I believe the best way that I can help reinforce our commitment to ensuring that Fraser remains an inclusive community is to lead by example. It matters how our leaders interact with people. I will always respect the right of other council members, residents, and business owners to voice their opinions and raise concerns. I may not always share a particular view, but I will always respect another individual’s view or opinion regardless of ethnicity, culture, or religion. Additionally, I will always work to ensure equal access and opportunity to everyone and prevent discrimination in any program or activity.
I am proud of Fraser's unique history and sense of community. People in Fraser truly take pride in their city and care about their neighbors. You can see that in the way our community embraces and participates in groups like the Fraser Lions Club, Fraser First Booster Club, and Families Against Narcotics. However, the recent political atmosphere in Fraser has been toxic. I want to help bring Fraser back together and keep the city moving forward.

One challenge our city is currently faces is aging infrastructure. Improvements to roads and underground infrastructure have been put off for too long. Careful planning and saving will help us improve our infrastructure while avoiding larger expenses necessitated by emergency repairs in the future. While we can’t always predict when an accident or needed repair will occur, we can limit the impact on our budget if we efficiently manage tax dollars and save appropriately.
