To ensure the Chief continues to get the support for the fine work he does.
1. The ability to maintain the excellent cross border relationship, and the recruitment of US and Canadian volunteer firefighters. 2. Educating the public on disaster properness, and getting them to take ownership of that task. 3. Ensuring adequate funding for maintenance, equipment replacement, and capital improvements

Number two: getting the Public to prepare for disasters and take ownership for that task.
I have spent over 30 years participating on Federal Incident Management Teams (U.S. Forest Service), and working as a field engineer (Contracting Officer Representative/Inspector) for the U.S. Forest Service.
