Experience (300 characters max) I have worked in emergency services as a volunteer and full time paid responder since 1991. I am running for my second 6 year term as Fire Commissioner for fire Grays Harbor Fire District 2.
I am an advocate for the taxpayers we serve and for the safety of our firefighters. I felt that this mindset needs to continue in the fire district. I want to be sure services are delivered at the highest level and as efficient as possible.
1. Future capital infrastructure repairs and upgrades

2. The financial impact of Hospital district 2 on emergency services

3. Increased requests for services coupled with a decreasing responder pool
Infrastructure is the most pressing concern
I bring the knowledge that the commissioners don't control day to day operations, they hire a Chief for that. I also understand what the Fire Chief has to deal with and can give as much support as possible in service delivery. Many times this only means not burdening the Chief with unreasonable directives.
