I am currently a member on the board of commissioners for the hospital district, the position which I was appointmented to due to the retirement of another commissioner. I want to be able to continue to serve the community and the hospital and hospital district in this capacity. I feel that physician input on the board is important to maintain quality and Communication between the medical staff, installation, and the board.
Major issues include the financial crisis at the hospital, the negotiations for potential acquisition, merger, and/or partnerships to ensure the continued deliveryof first class Quality medical services through Trios Health. This includes the course the management and guiding of the current chapter 9 bankruptcy procedures
In addition the need to present the hospital to the community in a way that will help increase volumes and revenues is an important issue.
We also need to work to maintain the working relationship between the hospital, it's employees, and it's physicians and other healthcare providers
The current financial crisis at the hospital is the most urgent, requiring the prompt attention and management of the hospital's bankruptcy procedures.
As a physician 30 years experience, additional training in quality assurance and utilization review, knowledge of accreditation process, experience with Medicare, and medical staff leadership history make me especially qualified for this position.
