I may be the luckiest person in the world. Consider these facts; married to a wonderful woman for fifty years, a resident of Lake Angelus for forty four years, and the father of two children who consider themselves "lifelong residents." I am running for city council to give back to the community for the years of enjoyment it has provided and to contribute to the preservation of this unique place. Lake Angelus was designed to be different because it relied on the self discipline of the residents and their regard for neighbors.

Retired broadcast/media executive and restaurateur. Executive Vice President BBDO/PHD. Managed staff of 180 who negotiated/bought/stewarded 18,000 media buys annually for Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Bank of America, Cricket, Safeway, Discovery. With wife owned Clarkston Cafe 1976-1994. MA/MBA Michigan State University. Outstanding Alumni Award in Communications 1982/BBDO Founder's Award/2007 Mediaweek All Star Award. Excellent background for negotiating issues in local government.
-Preservation of water quality of Lake Angelus. The lake is our strongest asset and without a pristine lake we're just another collection of homes.

-Oversight of police department and full enforcement of unique rules and regulations on the water and land. We are fortunate to have our own police force who understands the unrivaled character of our community. This asset must be protected.

-The city has faced many dangers that have threatened our unique lifestyle i.e. unwanted development adjacent to city property, continuing urbanization, etc. No matter the issue the reliable thing we have is great community spirit and local government made up of volunteers. A government committed to keeping Lake Angelus as former resident Austin Bement said so eloquently: “The Northwest Corner of Heaven.”
