In today’s economic climate would like to find better and improved ways to meet the needs of the township resident. Be it through possible shared services, to continue searching and applying for Government Grants that would aid in making improvements within the township and would keep seeking innovative ways to be more cost efficient in order to be able to work within today’s decreasing financial budgets and the rising cost market. If elected would as previous Trustees continue to represent the needs and concerns of the Township Community. I will continue to be a liaison for the township residents to the County and State governments.

I will continue the work being done by the township trustees making the best use of our current income from taxes and grants. I will also look for ways to increase grant money. Being on the zoning board for years has given me keen insight into the future development of the township. I will work hard to keep our income in line with expenses as this development unfolds in the township. I will also keep pressure on the county and state to fix the problems in the township’s flood prone areas. I have lived, worked and volunteered in Shalersville all of my life. I have strived to make common sense decisions as a zoning board member and will continue to do so as your next trustee.

We presently use tax funding as well as grants to keep our roads some of the best in the area. We continue to keep our trucks and equipment in good repair to get the maximum amount of years out of costly equipment. Recent grant monies allowed us to help fund a walking trail for all our residents to use at the Shalersville Park. Shalersville recently signed a 10 year lease with Bio-Med for the use of the old Shalersville Elementary School guaranteeing long-term use, upkeep, and upgrades of our largest building while providing much needed funding for our other buildings, roads, and cemeteries. As small government funding continues to go down common sense spending and decisions will keep our community one everyone can be proud of and a great place to live. I am presently on a committee seeking additional small government funding for our Township and will continue to seek funding for our projects while being as conservative as I can with your money.
