Our community has been hit hard in the last few years, losing major businesses. We and I need to seek out small businesses to come and set up in our town. I would knock on doors of businesses in our surrounding communities and put our town out there as a place to come and grow. We are small but we have space for businesses to grow. Grants are great but there are very few that will sustain the growth we need but grants are still viable. We need to take a look at the long term venture and put a plan in place to guide the process. It may change but the foundation should still remain the same. When there are too many changes, original plans are overlooked and the stability is no longer there. We need consistency and continuity in order to be successful as a community. I would do my very best to achieve these goals with the help of the community and village counsel.
