Funding---Washington Township is a rural community---that has been very self sufficient---with the continued cuts from the state regarding local government funds and the reevaluation of the Zimmer Power Station ---we have centralized all township operations to one location ---to provide adequate services to all of our township residents.
We have already consolidated our EMS services to a centralized location and sold off excess equipment--we are stream lining all operations. Sharing equipment ownership is an issue that is worth discussing and detailing which we would take part.
Washington Township through our contract with the Clermont County Sheriff have employed a Drug Dog as part of our charge. The dog and Officer Kirker have been a tremendous asset in reducing the drug trafficking in our area---We are one of the few entities in Clermont County to actually employ a drug dog
