With township budget constraints and loss of State & Local government funds, the township has started doing their own road improvements, culvert replacements & chip & seal program, that had been subcontracted in the past. While doing this in-house we are able to maintain quality work & repairs while covering more township road miles and staying with in the funds budgeted.
Our main concern is the additions and expansion to the flood plain areas with in the township, we would like to see these areas reduced and in doing so would save the residents money on their flood insurance. The trustees along with township zoning commission members are working on a new plan to be reviewed by federal regulators

Residents living on township roads should be consulted to make sure their road needs are being met. All residents need well maintained roads, which includes, ditches, culverts, mowing, salt application and snow removal. The township budget usually dictates the level of road maintenance. Reily Township is fortunate to have a park like setting / green space around the Township Community Center. There are opportunities to make this area more inviting to township residents.
The Plan was adopted in 1982 shows the township as 95% agriculture, and 5% as being residential, commercial, and parkland. Since 1982 the population has increased 20% and there has been considerable agriculture land loss due to residential development. Population increases cannot be controlled and they lead to other types of development. I support agriculture and the need for managed development. The current Plan needs to be reviewed by a citizens committee with recommendations to update it.
Education One year college at Georgetown College.
Qualification/Experience 12 years elected Reily Township Trustee
1. Road Repair and Maintenance. Reily Township roads are chip and sealed on a regular schedule. Currently the township is able to provide this service at a substantial savings to the township. Other infrastructure work is co-ordinated between our township crew and the Butler County Engineer's Office. Examples of this are culverts and bridge maintenance and repair.
The Reily Township land use plan is handled by our own Zoning Commission made up of five appointed residents of the township. It is currently under review.
