In my first term I’ve been an independent voice for holding the line on taxes and protecting our quality of life. Working across party lines, I refused to let partisan politics stifle the progress we deserve like it does in Washington and Albany. I will continue working with Mayor Mike Spano to hold the line on taxes, keep our neighborhoods clean and safe, create good paying jobs and build on the $2 billion in ongoing economic development we've seen during my 4 years.
By increasing economic development we can expand the commercial tax base which will ease the burden on residential homeowners. This includes building mixed use, smart growth, transit-oriented development opportunities so our current families and seniors can afford to stay here and watch their children grow up in the community we all know and love. Yonkers is a great city, with great people.
