Some of the major issues the Town is facing fall into the cross hairs of my Professional engineering realm. The Transportation Enhancement Project (TEP) requires a discerning eye to insure adherence to budget and execution of work. Another issue I have a perspective of is the amount of regulations Town residents are subjected to in trying to make improvements to their properties. I will propose a review of the existing Town Codes to see how they can work better for the residents.
I would like to make available, adequate affordable housing opportunities for our Town employees and volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts in supporting our community. Unfortunately , wastewater issues in the main part of our Town greatly restrict the ability to expand these opportunities. The issue is under study presently and I will support, in my capacity, efforts for implementation of the required infrastructure upgrades necessary to increase the supply.

On a daily basis, the most important issue facing our town is managing the budget in an environment where we have revenues decreasing and costs increasing. Tax payers are over burdened with rising prices and daily living expenses. My job is to achieve more with less while still maintaining and even increasing services to the taxpayer. It is a balancing act and one that requires constant overview.
I worked with all the boards to make sure that our codes met the criteria to supply fair and affordable housing in our community. One of the first positions I took when I got into office as a town board member 4 years ago was to adopt the required changes to our codes to encourage affordable housing. The costs associated with the environmental challenges our town faces and lack of waste water treatment infrastructure within the town continues to impede building for affordable housing.
