There are many important issues facing a Lewisboro Town Board Member. Three prominent ones are the preservation of our environment, property values, and how to generate revenue. My approach with these, and the many other issues, is to be optimistic and forward thinking. I like to think in the big picture and then break that big picture down into workable parts. I derive deep satisfaction from the completion of each step in a project and look forward to bringin that energy to the Board.
I want Lewisboro to shine as the welcoming and inclusive community that it is. I appreciate our socioeconomic diversity and would hate to see that disappear. Lewisboro wouldn't be the community it is without the rural roots that form its foundation. I want our teachers, seniors and first responders to have a short commute so they can spend as much feee time as possible with their families. Without affordable housing, none of that is possible.

I have served as deputy supervisor for the past 8 years having been appointed by supervisors from both sides of the aisle. I believe this is evidence of my bipartisan approach to solving local issues such as keeping Lewisboro affordable by holding the line on taxes with strict controls on spending, and constantly working to increase revenue sources to provide the highest quality parks preserves and recreation programs and facilities to serve our youth and seniors.
My record shows that I have been unwavering in my support of fair and affordable housing provided a portion is set aside to meet the needs of our local workers, first responders and our seniors. Additionally, due to the vast majority of Lewisboro residents obtaining their drinking water from private wells we must ensure that all such development complies with our zoning, wetlands and other environmental regulations.

Weakening of wetlands regulations. Lack of community development and failure of our town to pursue initiatives which will make our town more welcoming and increase real estate values. Failure of town to attract new businesses and to pursue initiatives to provide for pedestrian safety and make our hamlet centers pedestrian friendly.
I believe we should be more inclusive and do more to create more fair and affordable housing.

The budget is always the most important issue. It drives everything else. We build programs to deliver top class services, a premier police force, superior recreation and sports opportunities, care for our elderly, diversion for youth, safety and security; in an austere financial environment. With rising personnel costs, skyrocketing health and pension costs and the staggering weight of unfunded State mandates, our residential tax base and State imposed tax cap present challenges. Keep Taxes Low
Our Town has a scrupulously objective Zoning Code and provides for copious opportunities for affordable housing in Lewisboro. We have revised our code to allow for more affordable accessory dwellings and have assured accessible and affordable residences are available. Our Town has a unique mix of challenges including watershed, steep slope and wet lands issues to contend with when siting any building. Developers are held to a high standard to comply with economic and environmental concerns
