Education University of Michigan BBA - Finance. Kettering Senior High School. Burroughs Middle School. Chandler Elementary.
Occupation/current position Owner, Prestige Meetings & Events. Founder & Chair, MECCA Development Corporation.
I have served in several volunteer capacities over the past 10 years understanding the needs and resolving issues for residents within the community. My volunteer service includes: Former Vice President for East English Village Association - 2007- 2014, Founder & Chair of MECCA Development Corporation - 2014-present, Vice Chair of the Detroit Board of Zoning Appeals - 2015-present, Treasurer of the 5th Precinct Police Community Relations Council - 2015-present, Former AmeriCorps member - Urban Safety Program - 2015-2017

I am also a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Finance Degree.

I decided to run because I've lived in several neighborhoods throughout District 4 (for over 20 years) and see the devastation that we're continuing to face. I am interested in continuing to help empower residents, improve economic development within the community, and provide transparency.
Lack of transparency. Establish a Community Advisory Council for District 4 to create a level of transparency for the office.

Blighted communities. Support changes in legislation that prevents commercial property owners from entering into a payment agreement for vacant/blighted properties. It has led to blighted corridors. Additionally, review the Detroit Land Bank Authority processes to ensure current residents are able to assist in revitalizing their community and that their is a mechanism in place to encourage owner occupancy.

Community Benefits Ordinance. Work to implement a more inclusive Community Benefits Ordinance so all stakeholders can be involved in development decisions for their area.

NEZ. Support extending the date and expanding the boundaries for the Neighborhood Enterprise Zones to continue supporting residents and encourage neighborhood revitalization.
