Education (1.) Master's of Education from Villanova University (August 2017) (2.) Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law; (3.) Bachelor's of Arts in International Studies and Political Science, from American University
Qualifications I am a homeowner with two young children. This August I will graduate with a Master’s in Education, and I am already an attorney & mediator. Previously, I chaired the Media Youth Aid Panel; volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children; taught conflict resolution; represented indigent clients before the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas; and served as president of my homeowners’ association. I am currently on the Delaware County Women’s Commission.

(1.) Ensuring a transparent, accessible, & respectful school board, that truly welcomes & facilitates open communication with residents. (2.) Budgetary discipline & fiscal responsibility. We are facing a $9.5 million budget gap, & that gap did not develop overnight. (3.) School & community safety. The current school board approved an easement for the Mariner East II pipeline 650 feet behind Glenwood Elementary School, & is only now asking questions about safety and property values.

Qualifications I am a financial manager and strategic thinker intent on improving our school budgeting transparency. I bring a unique perspective from my work as a public school teacher in NYC on the challenges of educating children under artificial budget constraints. I will put to use 20 years as a high tech entrepreneur to eliminating the board’s secrecy and opening up decisions to public scrutiny to eliminate graft and decisions that hurt our community.

Ensure budgets are made in the full view of the community. The board has worked in secrecy to release underfunded budgets, protect unethical administrators, and give contracts to political backers.

Protect our schools from future pipeline threats. Our School Board blindly accepted pennies on the dollar, allowing a deadly pipeline to threaten our children's safety.

Reduce the effect of pipeline threats. Demand additional safety measures omitted from that horrible deal to protect our kids.

She has a long track record of protecting and supporting communities in public health, poverty law and energy. In November of 2016, she served as Minority Inspector on the Board of Elections for the Eastern Precinct of Media Borough.
Municipality Media Borough, Eastern Precinct
To preserve our excellent schools for current students & future generations, I would use my experience & skills to examine how our district incurred millions in deficit this year, propose remedies to shortfalls that do not involve borrowing from the general fund or other short term solutions & develop budget cuts and new revenue streams that do not harm students and staff; listen to and communicate with all voters in the district; always make student and public safety top priority in decisions.
