Why are you running for this office? What are your top priorities?

CANDIDATE HAS WITHDRAWN FROM RACE (2/27/17)
Incumbent
Relevant Experience 9 yrs on Rec Comm (5 yrs chair), 2 yrs PFTF chair, 8 yrs TMM, 21 yr resident, coach, civic volunteer
I am running for Rec because I love being a rec commissioner and improving the Wellesley quality of life. During my first 9 years, I have championed creating the outdoor skating rinks, adding lights on the WHS outdoor courts, improving the MoPo bathhouse and adding a volleyball court and fishing pier. I believe in free Town-wide events like the Holiday lights, Halloween kid's parade, movie nights. I also chair the 900 Worcester St project (2 rinks, indoor field, and a two pools).

My priorities are to add more after-school programming at the K-5 schools and later WMS, improve the MoPo beach by reducing the weeds, improving sand, re-configuring the dock, and adding a volleyball tourney. I also want more scholarships so all in Town can attend Rec activities regardless of their means.
